Artifacts Discovered During The Journey

This archive brings together four objects chosen to reflect the cultural language of Baise and the wider Zhuang region. The Zhuang Brocade Blessing Ball represents one of Guangxi’s most recognizable traditions — an object associated with affection, good wishes and skilled hand embroidery. The Zhuang Brocade Guardian Charm carries those protective meanings into daily life, transforming traditional pattern and symbolism into a small personal talisman.

The Guangxi Bronze Drum Ornament connects the collection to a much older layer of Zhuang history, drawing from the bronze drums that have long served as symbols of ceremony, community and identity across southern China. Completing the archive, the Zhuang Brocade Hobo Bag brings regional weaving into a contemporary form, allowing geometric motifs and textile traditions to move from ancestral craft into modern everyday use.
